Meat
Chandler and Dunn
The two families of Chandler & Dunn have an
agricultural tradition in the West Kent area that stretches
back 5 generations
– and with seven members actively involved in the business there’s also a great
future ahead. Currently there is a total
of more than 270 years of hard learned, hands-on experience in farming and food
production.
As custodians of the countryside the families have
been concerned that the British rural landscape has seen many changes – not
always for the better. Running a mixed
farm producing fruit, cereals, potatoes as well as a Pedigree herd of Traditional
Sussex cattle (first registered in 1943) and a flock of Romney cross Suffolk
sheep gives Chandler and Dunn a broad overview of what can be done and what an
ever more discerning public demands. LEAF (Linking Environment And Farming)
membership means that Chandler and Dunn also carefully consider their impact on
the environment during the production of fine food.
